Armenida Qyqja was born in Tirana, Albania in 1977 and immigrated to Canada in 1995. She is the author of five poetry books: "Beyond the rails of rain", "Letters without envelopes", "Between the heart beats", "Kisses in ether", "Forty plus" and is the process of releasing another poetry book as well as her first book of short stories and novels. "A bunch of poems instead of flowers" is her first attempt to bring her poetry to the English readers.
