This manual provides instruction for blended families, professionals who counsel blended families, and anyone who interacts with the blended family. Little research exists on blended families and their emotional needs; this lack of information led to the desire to write a manual for counseling stepfamilies that are dealing with some unique topics. Some topics pertinent to a blended family include: biblical guidance for discipline in the home, loyalties within the blended family, prioritizing the marriage within the blended family, and how to respond to coparents.
