This work provides the English speaking world with a nearly comprehensive dictionary of modern Mongolian. Containing over 40,000 entries, made up of 25,000 keywords and 15,000 examples, it enables users to read a wide variety of modern Mongolian texts, including specialist essays in the humanities and social sciences. Compiled and edited by the late Gombojab Hangin and a group of Mongolian language scholars, this dictionary expands upon earlier works to provide a more complete record of the Mongolian language. Author Biography
Gombojab Hangin was a professor of Altaic and Uralic Studies at Indiana University. He was the founder of The Mongolia Society as well as the Mongol-American Cultural Association. John R. Krueger was a professor of Central Eurasian Studies at Indiana University specializing in Mongolian languages. Paul D. Buell is a part-time faculty member at the University of North Georgia in the department of History, Anthropology and Philosophy. William Rozycki is a scholar specializing in, among many things, applied linguistics and pedagogy. He most recently served as a professor at the University of Aizu's Center for Language Research until 2015.
