Her grandmother comes down to see what is wrong and chastises Chioma for opening the door for a stranger. Her novels include \u003ci\u003eZahrah the Windseeker \u003c\/i\u003e(winner of the Wole Soyinka Prize for African Literature), \u003ci\u003eThe Shadow Speaker \u003c\/i\u003e(winner of the CBS Parallax Award), and \u003ci\u003eLong Juju Man \u003c\/i\u003e(winner of the Macmillan Writer's Prize for Africa). Okorafor lives in Illinois with her daughter Anyaugo and family.
