Aging With Strength tells the inspiring stories of eight women in Hawai'i who have continued athletic pursuits well into their 50s, 60s, and even 90s. Whether they are surfing, paddling outrigger canoes, or doing ironman distance triathlons, they have not been deterred by age or other difficulties they have faced including losing a loved one. All of the women have been involved with the sport of surfing, and the important values that surfing teaches have touched their lives.
Author Biography
Lorenn Walker, JD, MPH, is a Hawai'i based health educator and peacemaking lawyer whose work with people harmed by crime is featured in numerous publications. She is a 14x XTERRA World Championship and 2x Kona Iornman finisher.
