The largest state in the union at over 665,000 square miles, Alaska spans many plant communities and thousands of plant species, including the state flower, the Forget-me-Not. Given the rugged and often harsh growing conditions, especially in the state's Arctic and sub-Arctic reaches, educators, learners, naturalists, and botanists will want to develop a deeper relationship with Alaska's most familiar plants. This beautifully illustrated guide to 140 common plants is the ideal tool for meaningfully connecting with Alaskan flora. The ecoregion map featuring over 20 botanical sanctuaries is especially useful. Laminated for durability, this pocket folding guide is worthy companion as you explore and learn more about the plants of the Last Frontier State.
