Steve Fagin is a writer, editor and adventurer who has written for the New York Times and Runner's World, as well as in his local Connecticut paper The Day, where he served as a reporter, editor and outdoors columnist. René Laubach, of New Mexico, has authored many books, including AMC's Best Day Hikes in the Berkshires.Charles W.G. Smith was the author of eleven books and many articles on natural history, outdoor recreation, and gardening.
