Benjamin Alire Sáenz ha recibido premios diversos con Aristóteles y Dante Descubren los secretos del universo. También es el ganador del Premio PEN/Faulkner de Ficción y del American Book Award por sus libros para adultos. Con He Forgot To Say Goodbye ganó el premio de literatura infantil y juvenil Tomás Rivera y el Southwest Books; con Last Night I Sang to the Moster fue parte top 10 del ALA para jóvenes; y Sammy y Juliana in Hollywood fue finalista en Los Angeles Times Book Prize. ex compañero de poesía de Wallace E.
