Soldiers and officers are listed by unit and as much detail as possible is listed related to their service. Units included are the First Arkansas Field Artillery, Second Arkansas Field Artillery, Third Arkansas Field Artillery, Fourth Arkansas Field Artillery, Fifth Arkansas Field Artillery, Sixth Arkansas Field Artillery, Seventh Arkansas Field Artillery, Ninth Arkansas Field Artillery, and the Batteries named after their captains; West, Faires, Hart, Key, Calvert, Marshall, Weaver, Owen, Thrall, Zimmerman, Blocher, Etter, Brown, Bynn, Pine Bluff, River, Provenance, Humphrey, Crockett, Dunnington, Hoadley, Moore, Ray, Tyler, Trigg, Catall, Hardy, Wiggin, Memphis Appeal, Scott, Bryan, and Hogg. The Jacksonport Artillery is also included.
