Bamboo Stethoscope is a medical-adventure story, about the experiences of a group of doctors, nurses and some of the relatives on an organized medical mission to the Philippines. It portrays, outside of the normal medical issues, unusual, unique and often puzzling or even dangerous situations. The contrast between the two worlds of medicine is clearly illustrated. It has the elements of suspense, romance, humor, personalities and actions.
Author Biography
Francisco (Frank) Tejada, M.D. is a Philippine-born physician who trained and practice his profession in Collinsville, Illinois for almost four decades. Since his retirement, he devoted his spare times to his hobbies: writing novels, art, and ballroom dancing. He wrote three other novels: The Treasures of Lamon Bay, Purple Caduceus, and The Solace Tree. He is married for fifty-five years and has six children and nine grandchildren.
