Berbers and Others offers fresh perspectives on new forms of social and political activism in today's Maghrib. In recent years, the Amazigh (Berber) movement has become a focus of widespread political, social, and cultural attention in North Africa, Europe, and the United States. Katherine E. Hoffman is Associate Professor of Anthropology at Northwestern University and author of We Share Walls: Language, Land, and Gender in Berber Morocco.
Susan Gilson Miller is Associate Professor of History at the University of California, Davis. She is editor (with Mauro Bertagnin) of The Architecture and Memory of the Minority Quarter in the Muslim Mediterranean City.
