In this collections of papers, the reader will find exciting and innovative group work practices with a range of populations, including group work with First Nations girls, abusive men, disadvantaged youth and women with breast cancer who find healing through their participation in Dragon Boat competitions. Chapters explore the use of the twelve-step recovery program with adults with mental retardation and developmental disabilities, the use of group supervision as motivation for social action, and demonstrate how in-class literature groups may contribute to the teaching of both group work concepts and diversity.
