Author Biography

Carol Schmidt, who holds degrees in Art and English from Virginia Commonwealth University and Longwood University, worked as an educator for nearly 30 years. She is the creator of many popular Dover titles, including the bestselling coloring books Butterflies and Blossoms and Kaleidoscope Stained Glass Coloring Book.The illustrations of Harrison Fisher were very popular from 1905 to 1920. His portraits of active and confident women set the standard for the concept of American beauty during the early part of the 20th century.
