by Christine Geralyn McAteer (Author)
Daddy Sir is my memoir about trauma, dissociative identity disorder (DID) and incest. It is the story of a young girl raised in 1960's rural Texas. There I was beaten and sexually abused by my oldest brother, uncle, father, and grandfather. As a result of the trauma I created several alter personalities to survive the abuse, and I was also forced to watch the battering and neglect of my brothers and sisters. As a child I tried to care for my younger siblings, and I cared for and nurtured my invalid mother. From child to adolescent to adult I lived, surviving horrible and traumatic abuse. Daddy Sir is my story of healing, recovery, and hope.
