Author Biography
Paul Shaw has over 25 years of performing experience ranging from rock and roll to small group and big band jazz. He has vast experience as a clinician and private instructor. Paul has served as drummer and musical director of various Air Force jazz bands and rock bands. He has served as adjunct faculty in the music department at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Paul has led and composed for his own jazz groups ranging from trios to sextets. Paul currently writes for the United States Air Force Cadet Drum and Bugle Corps drum line. In addition to Paul's composition and musical leadership, Paul has played with a wide range of artist at festivals like the Atlanta Steel Guitar Jam, the Cologne Jazz Festival, the Hot Springs Jazz Festival, and the Clearwater Jazz Festival. He lives near Colorado Springs with his wife and two daughters.
