John Gordon and Richard Howard are retail investors and are retired from academic careers, Gordon at Yale and Howard at Clark and other universities. They also wrote together, "Buy on the Upside" a primer on stock investing, and Gordon is coauthor of "Real Estate: The Sustainable Investment", a primer on investing in rental real estate. Howard originated and maintains an investment advisory web site, "buyupside.com".
