Ashley likes to think of herself as an average teen but there is nothing average about her. Being born with the ability to control fire is not easy to live with. Just when Ashley's life seemed to be on track; a mysterious family member from a past that she does not remember, threatens to tear apart the only family she has ever known. Now Ashley is forced to use her powers to save the family she loves and change her life forever.
Author Biography
From his childhood in small town Manitoba, Darcy N. Carmichael has always been intrigued by the psychology behind "Superheroes." As a pre-teen, he started a collection of comic books and action figures. Darcy realized that his Superhero world had a shortage of female role models and was inspired to write Ember's Rising.
