JJ POLK, PHD, completed his post-doctoral teaching credentials in the UK with an UCLES Diploma. A former CELTA tutor and IELTS examiner, Polk has lived and taught in Europe, the Middle East, and the Far East. He now lives in Los Angeles, California, where he teaches publication and dissertation writing to non-native speakers of English in graduate school programs at the University of Southern California. He is especially interested in interdisciplinary perspectives on pragmatics in communication.
