Diabetes mellitus remains a public health nightmare worldwide with no immediate or long-term solution in sight. The current research work evaluates the antihyperglycaemic, antihyperlipidaemic, anti- obesity, toxicity and toxicity reversibility profiles of the water seed extract of Hunteria umbellata, a reputable African antidiabetes plant.
