by Peter Huston (Author)

"What's wrong with this city?" Tony, Alistair, and Robin are three young people coming of age and trying to find their future in Schenectady, a city that has seen better days. Tony wants fame and influence as a writer. Robin dreams of making the world a better place and helping those in need. Alistair simply wishes to find love and understand what's going on around him. But before they can achieve these goals, there are a few things they need to understand. Things such as, does Schenectady have a future? And what's with all those chemicals? And why's all the wildlife so mutated? And what's an OOWMSA? And why's everyone talking about the Illuminati? But that's normal for Schenectady . . . If you like the writings of Kurt Vonnegut and Chuck Palahniuk, and such films as "Repo Man," "Heathers," and the recent films of Bobcat Goldthwait, you might want to try "Excess Emotional Baggage -An Amazing, SEMI-TRUE, post-industrial, pulp-fiction TALE OF SCHENECTADY." Remember, it's only semi-true, but it's the really strange parts that actually happened. Peter Huston is the author of several books, magazine articles, and other writings. Intended for the collector of Peter Huston's works, "Excess Emotional Baggage -an Amazing, SEMI-TRUE, post-industrial, pulp-fiction, adventure TALE OF SCHENECTADY," is a limited release of his first novel. At times overly personal in subject matter, in places flawed and self-indulgent, nevertheless, Excess Emotional Baggage often shows the great promise and quirky insights that characterize his later works.
