Francis of Assisi saw the thousands of lives transformed by his call for deep repentance and radical simplicity of life. For Francis, Advent and Christmastide take us to the heart of the Gospel. Francis elevated this season as he saw that God entering into creation in the person of Jesus was the central fact of human history. The Incarnation changed everything. So while he loved Easter-the Charity of the Passion, he called it-he proclaimed Christmas as the "Feast of Feasts." The goal of these weeks is to learn to follow Jesus more closely by seeing our savior in the
example of Francis.
Frank serves as the Bishop of the Diocese of Georgia. Victoria is a tertiary in the Third Order, Society of Saint Francis. Both inspired by the little poor man of Assisi to follow Jesus more closely, they share their passion in these short daily devotions.
