Wang\u003c\/b\u003e was born in Fenyang, a small coal-mining city in China's mountainous Shanxi Province. He immigrated to the United States when he was six and has lived in ten states and fifteen cities. In 2010, he completed his PhD in Literature at Florida State University. Before that, he received his MFA in Fiction at Purdue. His work has appeared in \u003ci\u003eNew England Review\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eGreensboro Review\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eDay One\u003c\/i\u003e, and\u003ci\u003e Juked\u003c\/i\u003e, among others, and they have won an AWP Intro Award and been selected by the \u003ci\u003eBest American Anthology\u003c\/i\u003e as a notable story of the year.
