Dogen taught Fukan Zazengi, "To practice the Way single-heartedly is, in itself, awakening."There is no gap between practice and awakening or zazen and daily life. I do not struggle and sweat to come to awakening. I struggle to let go of the illusion that I am not awakened, the illusion that, to be fulfilled, I need something in experience. But I do not even know of this illusion until I practice.
