ABOUT THE AUTHOR Laura Gates Galvin has worked in children's book publishing as an editor and author for over 30 years. Her love of writing began at an early age when she asked for a typewriter for her 7th birthday, and she has now written and published over 100 published books. Her work includes award-winning titles for the Smithsonian Institution, African Wildlife Foundation, Sesame Workshop, Disney and WGBH.
