ABOUT THE AUTHOR: "Buck," as known on the air, was first licensed in the mid-sixties as a young teenager. Today, he holds an Amateur Extra Class Radio License. Buck stands on the ARRL Honor Roll with 335 countries out of 339 confirmed and has earned the 8 Band DXCC award. He is also an active instructor and a Volunteer Examiner. The Rappahannock Valley Amateur Radio Club named Buck the Elmer (Trainer) of the Year three times. He is also the author of Easy Way Ham Books to pass the Technician, General, and Extra Ham tests as well as "How to Chase, Work & Confirm DX - The Easy Way."
