If you are a parent of an ADHD child, I'm sure you have heard or said one of these story lines to yourself or heard it from others along your journey: * Kids will outgrow it.* That child is lazy, crazy, stupid, spacey, acting out on purpose.* Meds will solve it.* Pediatrician says to come back later, and we will see. * Parents wonder what to ask for.* Parents say my kid is NOT taking medication.* No matter what, he can't turn in his homework. * Wow, that parent can't control their kid. If so, I personally know what's it's like for you. I am a parent of a child with ADHD, too, and have said all these things to myself or heard it from others.Like you, I love my child and it was about 10 years ago that I decided I was going to stop the negative stories, educate myself, and create a plan and advocate for my child.I decided to write this book to share my journey with other parents who are going through the same thing, so they could reimagine a better path forward for their child. I hope this provides with you with more relevant parenting education, positive strategies, and reinforces that extremism or perfectionism isn't required for a better family life.
