I Go High tells of a little girl who ingeniously plans and attempts to get to the cookie jar. The little girl uses her imagination to creatively attempt to reach for the cookie jar, which is always kept on top of the refrigerator. Since children are naturally creative and use their imaginations, readers will identify with the character in this book, and adults who read the story to children will find her one who will cause them to both cherish the past and embrace the future. This story freezes time for anyone who has used his or her imagination to reach high and work hard for something. The ending emphasizes that we need to work hard to get to the things that we really want. There is also a favorite cookie recipe included at the end.
