Victor, a philosophy professor questioning his role in these modern times, meets Joel, one of his students, who believes in changing the world and that he can make an impact on society. He's passionate about a cause and trusts in it. Victor also falls in love, against his own predispositions, with Camille, which causes Victor to question his beliefs about his own existence. In the end, faced with Joel's radical ideas, love and his own cynical view of the world, Victor must steer himself into the right direction.
