I joined the US Army in 2005 and served over seas in Iraq in 2006-2007. There I came face to face with an unrelenting depression and psychosis. After being discharged I spent the next seven years writing poetry and sketching drawings of my battles with depression, suicidal thoughts, and the darkness that dwells in my head.
