'It Was Bound To Crash' is a neo-noir dark comedy and a mystery thriller about Meera, a cop being pushed to retirement, Dheeraj, an incompetent dimwit that accidentally kills his brother-in-law, his loving but psychopathic wife Neela, and the mysterious manipulative serial killer known only as Vetal who has a particular skill of talking himself out of unwarranted situations and scaring people with only his words to get what he wants when he isn't hacking them to death with an axe and stacking their bodies on the side. Starring colourful side characters like the incompetent Sub-Inspector, Gokul, and the easily trusting gangster Nawaz, Crash is about the absurdity of the world and the consensus reality, frequently referencing Indian mythology and pop culture.
