by Alex Jagger (Author)
A truly inspirational story about love, life, happiness and hair. A true story about a girl's victorious battle with breast cancer. She had a choice to make - to crumble or to fight. Her daughter was four, her job was full on and she was spinning a million plates. She was the queen of dodging reality through all the twists and turns of life. This was different - she had to find a way to face her worst fears and to get herself out of the pickle of all pickles. Little did she know that the very same disease that had claimed her parents when she was far too young was to be her most unlikely saviour. She tells the story in real time with humour, a blunt Yorkshire honesty and breath taking courage. What really happens when you're trying to keep your head (and your hair) when the rest of the world is going mad. And what really happens when you finally find your very own sunshine.
Author Biography
Alex Jagger (M.Sc.) is a Writer and Coach living in the UK with her daughter, boyfriend and dog. She has worked within the communications and retail industry throughout her career being Head of Communications for a large retailer until 2015. In 2013 Alex was diagnosed with breast cancer twice. It changed everything. As part of her recovery she craved help in the form of a future to focus on, not a past to feel sorry about. She found this help from a coach who guided her to clarity and helped her believe it was all possible. This encouraged her to want to do the same for others in an honest, forward thinking, action orientated and passionate way. So she left her cooperate career and started up on her own using a mixture of the business coaching she was already qualified in and some re-training to now be able to offer a coaching business based on three words - unpickle, clarify and do. She is also following in her mothers footsteps of becoming a writer. Her mother, Brenda Jagger, was the best selling author of nine romantic historical novels in the 1980's. Alex likes nothing more than spending time with her family, making it their lives mission to find the perfect beach. Golden sunshine all the way and never forgetting the joy of soapy shampoo!
