The process of using hazel rods or Y shaped wooden sticks for divination and healing has been in use for a very long time. Even today, variants of this theme are utilized in homeopathy and energy work, normally, these days, with two "L" shaped copper or zinc rods.This text is in two parts; the first half, translated and dating to the late 17th century, and a then-modern addendum mostly related to the use of hazel rods to find minerals or water underground.
