Author Biography
Kenneth M. O'Gorman is a life-long musician who plays saxophone and trumpet. He performs regularly on saxophone and teaches privately, most notably, jazz improvisation. Kenneth has developed several music training aids that help others learn or improve their improvisation skills. Ken's current published works are listed below. FUN FACTS for Kenneth M. O'Gorman: -Ken was "forced" to join the musicians union - in 10th grade, for taking pay gigs on their "turf". -Ken trained at Settlement Music School, as did notable musicians Joey DeFrancesco, Stanley Clarke and Chubby Checker, actor Kevin Bacon and physicist Albert Einstein. -Was in the Settlement Jazz Combo with Grammy-nominated Jazz Organist, Joey DeFrancesco. -Appeared in the John Travolta film, "Blowout". -Performed "Elvira" live with The Oak Ridge Boys. -Played for several US Presidents while serving over 6yrs in three US Army Bands. -Inspired the blowgun-wielding character "Ogorm" in the Tenebrea series written by friend/mentor/author Dan Graham and Star Trek: Voyager's Roxanne Dawson.
