Jingle Dance is about the love and remorse that lead two women to participate in the healing sanctity of the Jingle Dance, originated by the Ojibwe. Two women move to Montana to find peace. Kate, a writer, escapes a dissolute past to seek healing. Alicia, a French teacher, takes her children to a new life, escaping a failed relationship with a woman named Ziva. Kate thinks: The Ojibwe the Chippewa the Crow the Sioux the Lakota had and have traditions of incredible power and sanctity that emanate from beauty. To heal I must - we all must - allow the beauty of body of art of words of ceremony to lead us to courage hope triumph.
Author Biography
Born near Villeneuve-le-Roi, Christine studied at the Sorbonne. For years she was an assistant to her father, who is a retired psychiatrist. Her mother teaches French and German in a suburb of Basel where they live. With her partner, a pianist, and their beloved cat, Christine lives near Montreux.
