Henry Fielding was an 18th century English writer who was very popular in his day, especially for his humorous and satirical writings. His most famous novel is The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling, a comic novel that often makes people's lists of the most influential works in the English language. One of Fielding's most famous works is Joseph Andrews, a voluminous two part novel that includes some of his trademark comedy.
