His past academic career has spanned many continents, with earlier appointments at the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge and City University in the UK, Duke University, Fuqua School of Business in the USA, the University of Bologna, Italy, the Australian National University, Australia; Waseda University, Japan. He has published over 100 papers in international journals and is the author of a number of books, including \u003cem\u003eEmergent Globalization\u003c\/em\u003e (Palgrave 2004). \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eCARLA C.J.M. MILLAR is Professor of International Marketing and Management at the School of Business, Public Administration and Technology at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. She was previously Dean of TSM Business School in the Netherlands and Professor at the University of Groningen, and spent ten years with major MNCs before teaching at Greenwich and City Universities in London, UK.
