Since the beginning of the year, the bodies of several people mysteriously executed have been found in Madrid. They seem to be victims chosen at random, since they were found in remote locations around the capital city. However, there are two detectives from different precincts set on following, each on their own, the very few leads that are available. It is Inspector Dulce O'Rourke, an explosive personality, but insecure in her personal life, and Inspector Juan Luis Seito, apparently timid, but capable of moving heaven and earth to unravel an important case. Alarm bells set off when they both come to the conclusion that an elite mercenary roams the city streets. He is someone experienced, accustomed to killing with impunity. Something is going on. Something too complicated. And also, too big. Something no one in the world has noticed until now.
