by Georges Damien (Author)
The novella takes the form of a diary in which the main character, Peter, records, over a period of almost forty days, the events he has experienced since he followed an ambulance carrying a Corona patient, Latif, until the latter's death, shot by the Australian police. Everything is seen through Peter's eyes and captured by his ears: he gradually discovers his enigmatic relationship with the patient and establishes a rather intimate relationship with his children and especially one of his daughters, Julie. The main character reproduces dialogues and phone calls he has had with the various characters, which advance the plot to its tragic conclusion.
