In the middle of an agoraphobia episode and after a breakup, the protagonist decides to immerse herself in the enigmatic life of Alejandra Pizarnik, in whose diaries and poems she finds the exact words to describe her fears. Until she sees the poet burst into her apartment without any warning, wearing her black coat and flooding everything with verses, small pieces of paper filled with words, and cigarette smoke. With it also come flowers, jazz records, and a multitude of writers who share the space with unwashed dishes, boxes of anxiolytics and antidepressants, and glasses of wine.

Can the story of the mythical poet help her understand her own fears and redirect her life?

Author Biography

ANA MÜSHELL (Jerez de la Frontera, 1989) es artista e ilustradora. Ha publicado su trabajo en medios como Vogue, GQ y Cinemanía y ha colaborado con numerosas marcas. Tras autoeditar los fanzines Pömelo (2013), Me parece sexy (2016), Vía de escape (2017), Aquí dentro (2018) y Sadness Motel (2018), publicó la novela gráfica Pink Mousse (2017) y la biografía Patti Smith. She Has The Power, e ilustró la novela gráfica de Henar Álvarez, La mala leche (2021). Maldita Alejandra. Una metamorfosis con Alejandra Pizarnik es su último libro, publicado por Lumen.
