Carol Scott-Conner MD PhD is Professor Emeritus of Surgery at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She is the author of over 10 textbooks and 2 short story collections, and past editor-in-chief of "The Examined Life: The Literary Journal of the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine."
