He still runs a consultancy and has drawn on his experiences to write two light hearted books with a strong geological theme. This is the first one he has turned into an e-book. A second book \"Kiwis Sinners and Saints\" is in preparation. Robert has two grown up children and apart from writing his main hobby is singing.
