When Murphy's friend Robin is beaten to death by her boyfriend Morgan and loses her baby, Murphy takes it personal and promises her to bring Morgan to justice, as she dies. With an eclectic group of Key Wests Murphy chases Morgan, his outlaw biker gang and ends up in the Ocala National Forest facing bikers working a meth lab, running a strip club and all under the watchful eye of federal agents. When the final scenes are played out Murphy may lose his soul to keep his promise.

Author Biography

Michael Haskins was born and raised outside Boston, in North Quincy, Massachusetts. His career in journalism began while in high school as the weekend midnight - 8 a.m. office boy in the city room of the Boston Record-American and Sunday Advertiser. He left Boston for a college scholarship in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Politics got in the way and he was back at the newspaper within a year. Soon after he left for Los Angeles where he discovered he didn't have the height or good looks for on-air news. He did join the Greater Los Angeles Press Photographers Association, serving one year on its board and two years as head of its chili cook-offs held at the LA Press Club. He worked at ABC-TV during the prime years of sit coms and variety shows. Twenty years ago, he moved to Key West, Florida to be the business editor/writer for the local rag. Five years later, he joined the city as its public information officer. Once again, five years later, politics interfered and Haskins was out of a job. His book, Chasin' the Wind, was published about that time, 2008. He has freelanced for the bi-weekly Keynoter, been the arts & entertainment writer for the Key West Weekly and been a stringer for Reuters News Service in Miami. Now he writes fulltime and hopes to do two books a year so he can spend his summers in the Irish countryside writing more.
