The purpose of My 2nd Grade Sight Words is to allow the second through fifth grade students and children to become efficient and confident readers and their attention to center on decoding words that carry meaning to the text. This will allow second through fifth grade students and children to focus their efforts on "learning how to read and spell" As a result of doing so, the second through fifth grade students and children ability to verbally recall and organize information from text will improve. They will not only begin to develop reading comprehension skills, but also become more accurate, detailed and organized when verbally recalling the information. My 2nd Grade Sight Words will improve the second through fifth grade students and children reading fluency and automatically, allowing them to focus their efforts on the more demanding task of reading comprehension and spelling.
Author Biography
Dr. Moneshia Dashiell is a summa cum laude graduate from Christian Bible College and Seminary with a G.P.A of 4.0. She currently holds a bachelor degree of Christian education, masters of Christian education, and a doctors of Christian education. Dr. Moneshia Dashiell is certified to educate children and adults; she is proud to be a graduate of Christian education. On February 23, 2014 Dr. Moneshia Dashiell became an International book author for the first time in her life. Dr. Moneshia Dashiell is a 2013 & 2014 Black Essence Awards Nominee and recipient. Recently Dr. Moneshia Dashiell was nominated for THE 2015 BLACK ESSENCE AWARD for international author, children's author, and solo gospel artist of the year.
