Nahaliel, is the Hebrew word for "Valley of God." This word is found in only one verse of the Bible, Numbers 21:19. It is the context in which it is used that implores us to consider it further. God had lost His patience with Israel's incessant complaining, and according to Numbers 21:6, "...sent fiery serpents among the people." People were dying so they came to Moses, repented, and asked that he intercede for them. The Lord instructed Moses to fashion a serpent of brass, attach it to a pole and lift it up in the air. If the people who were bitten looked, they would live. This is a shadow and type of Jesus; a picture of salvation.

Continuing through Numbers 21 we find the various places Israel journeyed; Oboth, Ijeabarim, Zared, Arnon, Be-er, Mattanah, Bamoth, and finally Pisgah. Each destination represents a higher level of maturity. Oboth means, "mumbling of the Father's name." Regardless of a person's chronological age he or she is a "baby" Christian at the point of salvation but God doesn't want us to remain mumbling, stumbling, selfish Christians. His desire is that we grow up, help others, and fulfill the calling He has for each of our lives. We must learn the foundational truths of the Bible for ourselves and begin living by these Godly principles as well as teaching them to others. Sadly, many Christians remain at Oboth either by choice or through ignorance. Hence the subtitle. "The Ideal journey of the believer."

My goal is to edify the body of Christ through this book so that the church will be victorious in these last days. I believe Jesus is coming soon. Don't you want to hear these words, "well done, good and faithful servant; enter thou into the joy of thy Lord"
