The Smith's are dealing with Developmental Delays (specifically Autism), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Bi-Polar and ADHD. Two of her children (whom she adopted) struggle with other learning and behavioral issues. Esther home-schools 6 of her 8 children (with her husband's help), and works from home creating art and writing. Her art and writing is primarily designed to face and conquer "real-life" issues her family has been struggling with.
