He was an author, poet, playwright, composer, linguist, translator and critic. Diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in 1959, Burgess became a full-time writer and went on to write a book a year up until his death in 1993. His many works include: \u003ci\u003e The Complete Enderby\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eTremor of Intent\u003c\/i\u003e and \u003ci\u003eThe Kingdom of the Wicked\u003c\/i\u003e, as well as works for the stage such as \u003ci\u003eBlooms of Dublin: A Musical Play Based On James Joyce's Ulysses \u003c\/i\u003e(1986), and an adaptation of his own novel, \u003ci\u003e A Clockwork Orange\u003c\/i\u003e, produced in 1987. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cb\u003eLucia Cox\u003c\/b\u003e has a BA (Hons) in Acting and a Masters in Creative Writing. She has performed in theatre, film and on TV. She has written short films and for the theatre and for BBC Learning for which she is a regular contributor.
