This book is designed both veterinary students or clinicians and practitioner veterinarians who need and desire accurate and clinically useful information in a timely manner. In addition, practicing veterinarians and veterinary students are continuously interested in information on pain control in practice. The purpose of the preparation and handling of this book is to compile up-to-date information on pain and especially postoperative analgesia, and to contribute to veterinary practice. The book will be useful to both field colleagues and veterinary undergraduate students. The format is designed to provide the reader with easy access to understanding of the pain control in veterinary practice. It is not intended that this book is taken as an absolute, but used as a guide for practical information.
