His doctoral dissertation examines the concept of aptitude (\u003ci\u003eepitēdeiotēs\u003c\/i\u003e) in Late Antique and Early Christian thought.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eLars Fredrik Janby holds a Ph.D. in the History of Ideas from the University of Oslo, Norway, where he defended a thesis on Augustine's encyclopedic project.
