He is a co-founder of the biennial international Philosophy at Play conferences, as well as a member of the Editorial College of \u003cem\u003eThe International Journal of the History of Sport\u003c\/em\u003e and editorial boards of \u003cem\u003eSport in History\u003c\/em\u003e, \u003cem\u003eJournal of Sport History\u003c\/em\u003e and \u003cem\u003eJournal of New Zealand \u0026amp; Pacific Studies\u003c\/em\u003e. His academic affiliations include Honorary Associate Professor at The University of Queensland, Australia, Honorary Research Fellow at De Montfort University, UK, and Senior Research Associate at the University of Gibraltar, Gibraltar. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWendy Russell \u003c\/strong\u003eis a researcher and educator on children's play and Visiting Fellow at the University of Gloucestershire, UK, where she developed and taught on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes on children's play and playwork.
