Author Biography
JACK GRAPES is an award-winning poet, playwright, actor, publisher, and teacher. He has received numerous grants and fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts and the California Arts Council. His play CIRCLE OF WILL (co-authored with Bill Cakmis) won theatre critic awards for Best Comedy and Best Performance by an Actor. He is the author of several books of poetry, including the most recent THE NAKED EYE: New & Selected Poems, 1987-2012, and a non-fiction work, METHOD WRITING: The Craft of the Invisible Form. Forthcoming are several non-fiction works: THE TENDER AGONIES OF CHARLES BUKOWSKI; HOW TO READ LIKE A WRITER; and ETERHIZED UPON A TABLE: A History of Modern Poetries. Jack lives in Los Angeles with his wife Lori.
